Men sadly feel that the only way to lock a woman down is by marrying them. And they are not wrong to think this way because it goes back to their 20s. This is true. I'm a virgin (an older one) but guys want to lock it down ASAP. I like my freedom and independence and I think I just prefer being single sometimes but I know that will come with loneliness. Sigh. I just need 2 little dogs and friends.

That's because they relied on women for the most basic things their entire lives. When my mom is sick she deals with it alone. When my dad is sick OMG he is like a baby and my mom has to take cage of him lol. I wonder if this catch 22. Women want their husbands/bfs to be independent but they also take pride in taking care of them.

During that time a lot of women make terrible choices to avoid being alone.

Absolutely agree.

It is an interesting question and I don't know the answer. But women end up more in abusive relationship compared to men. And in many cases the red flags were starting at them during the dating phase. Is it because some women are afraid to be lovely?

I think for men it's different. Men are more likely to accept that they may never end up with someone because a woman has to select them which is not guaranteed.

For women it is almost a given that they don't even have to try hard to get a guy. I think this add huge pressure and you don't want to be that woman who ends up alone.

However in this modern era where hookup is normalized women no longer have thia pressure to be in a relationship. They have their own money, own job, own housing,amd if they want a child and are healthy enough they can buy one.
