His brain isn’t fully formed yet. Don’t take it personally, he could be going through something you have no idea about. No. You are the parent here, do your duty. Keep showing your interest and fare in non intrusive ways, biweekly texts with pics of fun happenings with siblings, pets or in neighborhood. Send random gift cards or cookie delivery etc. Ask if they'll be available for a lunch on Sunday afternoon as you'll be in area for something else and would like to drop a fee goodies.
