You should also know that you can get a second opinion from a different radiologist.

Also true of pathologists.

DEFINITELY academic. Academic cancer center second opinion confirmed a cancerous spot that the community health center noted as noncancerous / for monitoring. It completely changed the course of my treatment.

I’m having an MRI to rule out ovarian cancer. I have 2 options:

-A top academic hospital and draw a random attendinng. I resident will likely read it and the attending will click to sign off
-A community hospital where my doctor can choose the radiologist. Their radiologists don’t see as much as the academic hospitalrads though.

I will ask my doctor. I wanted ask here first because I’ve gotten excellent advice here. Thank you in advance.
