I think it really comes down to fit and feel on your body. Patagonia has changed their fit so many times over the past decade, it just no longer predictable and I don't think the quality is quite what it used to be.

I have switched over and now mostly wear Arc'teryx, HH, or Fjallraven. Seems like HH is finally making a big comeback (I wore it a good bit in the 90s), and I love it. Their styles and fits are practical and products long-lasting IMO.

Helly Hansen is pretty much the Patagonia of Europe 😂

HH is a solid choice if you are looking to signal that you are above basic brands like Patagonia.

My whole family wears HH in the winter, and we all love the brand. Next time you are skiing, look around and you will notice all of the staff wears HH. Thats what promoted me to try them in the first place.

How do the jackets compare to Patagonia? I'd like to get a warm athletic jacket. Which is better?
