I think PP may be confused b/c OP said she found it in the shower. Most people don't wash the inside of their vagina to be able to find bumps inside.

I suddenly developed a strange blister bump there that turned out to be Shingles (yes, in my privates). Somehow I had a hunch and went to my PCP the very next morning rather than wait for an OB appointment later that week. Sure enough I got the meds and saved myself extra pain and blisters (it was still bad for a week but would have been way worse had I waited longer).
The big one I felt is on one side (that seems to have shrunk since I scratched it) but dh says they are on both sides

A visual examination is done during a Pap. What you describe would have been seen.
As for shingles, I am guessing there was a sensation/burning/awareness.

I suddenly developed a strange blister bump there that turned out to be Shingles (yes, in my privates). Somehow I had a hunch and went to my PCP the very next morning rather than wait for an OB appointment later that week. Sure enough I got the meds and saved myself extra pain and blisters (it was still bad for a week but would have been way worse had I waited longer).

I was just showering and found this bump on my vagina (like just right inside). Looked and there are a few bumps (like 4) that look like dark red or black blisters. I've had the HPV vaccine. I am FREAKING out. I had a pap recently like within months and dr said nothing (he would have noticed right?). Can this be some kind of vulvar cancer? what else could it possibly be? urgh urgh urgh.
