Drop off, absolutely not. We have a 15 year old and gone to a lot of concerts. We always go. They can sit near us, but we always sit with them. We've never an issue but we've seen lots of alcohol, drugs, a man harassaing a women (which was promptly dealt with), fights.

I would say yes. What could go wrong?

Hard no for me.

No. At age 14 I wouldn’t allow drop off at a large concert- would want an adult present. A little too young for that yet IMO.

What's the concert?

I'd probably talk to the parents about plans (Where are they during the concert? Do they have a meet up plan? When do the expect to hit the road and return home?)

Some parents I know who would do this type of thing would be conscientious about it and communicate clearly. But unfortunately, some parents I know who would do this type of thing would drink 4 beers at a bar and hop back in the car with the teens.

I'd say no. Only 14, you don't know the dad, he's not staying (where will he be? what if it's at a bar?), it's an hour and a half away ... absolutely not.

Hell no

Too young for that and for me the school night would be a problem.

Absolutely not. Especially on a school night.

Don't know the girl/parents? No.

Is this the Sabrina carpenter concert in Charlottesville. Yes if you lived there, no if you don’t.

Go with your first instinct. No. She is too young.

No - too young to be out past midnight with only a peer.

I’d probably be fine with that. In 2-3 years, you’ll have to worry about the kids themselves doing the driving.

My (generally fairly responsible) 14-year-old daughter asked me late last night if she could go to a concert tomorrow that's around a 90-minute drive away. Would likely get home after 1 a.m. Would go with a friend, friend's dad would drop off and pick up but not stay. I know the friend's mom but not the dad (they're divorced). My initial response was "no way" but thinking it over, I'm questioning if I'm being too strict. I am OK in principle with her going to a concert, but the distance, not knowing the parent, and the last-minute request give me pause. (Also not wild about the school night but that wouldn't be a total dealbreaker on its own.)
