+1. To that poster up thread and possibly in another discussion about it is unproven don't worry about it - please, stop. If it was unproven and not part of a kid's grade, why spend so much time away from instructional time to test for these "don't worry about them" tests?

Because the state wants to bully school districts into taking MCAP seriously, just like when they bullied school districts to take PARCC seriously by making it a graduation requirement after years when no one took it seriously.
The state is using the same play-book.

DD just got the letter grade on her report card. No score on either the report card or the SGGCR.

Schools will be sending them home in backpacks this year. The testing office is no longer mailing them to individual houses. I did by reaching out to the testing and reporting office. You need to be persistent. The person to email is Donna Blaney: Donna_M_Blaney@mcpsmd.org

I don't think it matters. MCAP is an unproven test. Maybe once they've worked the kinks out but until they either fix it or ditch it for a proven national test I wouldn't worry about it.
