2 boys, 7 and 4, already share a room with bunkbeds. 1 girl, 3, has her own room. Another boy is on his way. Baby will bunk with us until he’s a little older, but then what? Moving isn’t an option. It just isn’t at this time.
Let’s say in two years we move the boys into our room and take their smaller room. That’ll still be a 2, 6, and 9yo sharing a room. Will that work?
Have the girl share a room with the boy with the largest age gap, so less rivalry. By the time the baby is a toddler, she might like changing again and having a "baby brother" to fuss over and help raise, like a living doll.
This is how my grandparents did it with 11 kids, though there was a 20+ year age gap between the youngest and oldest, but I helped raise a brother who was 9 years younger.
Don’t make a tween girls share a room with a toddler. Girl gets her own room, three boys together.
