I am a DC native, I had never heard of it. We had Boardwalk fries at Pentagon City mall decades ago, never called them Thrashers. Ate them with vinegar and old bay.

There’s more to the DelMarVa area that I and many of my colleagues are completely unaware of.

If you are from the DMV, how much do you know about the DelMarVa area?

I don’t know any DC natives that use the term “DMV”.

Are you a high schooler?

I’m not originally from here but was introduced to orange crushes by my then boyfriend, now husband. Surprised they were actually only created in 1995. I prefer them with soda water, not Sprite.

Grapefruit crushes > orange crushes. The drink originated in Ocean City, not in Delaware or Virginia. No one out there calls it DelMarVa (unless they’re talking about the power company).

I don’t know much about the traditions in the western panhandle either. They’re different areas.

I am not from this area but was introduced to the orange crush years ago by friends during a long weekend in Solomons Island. I don't really drink anymore but if I see an orange crush on the menu I'll ask if the orange is fresh squeezed and if do I'm getting one.
