It's affordable at around $650 a year, uses GoPros, and keeps things simple with no extra bells and whistles. The system delivers content via YouTube, making it straightforward to use.

One major advantage is that the GoPros can be repurposed for activities beyond soccer. The learning curve is manageable, and the video quality is the best you’ll get, especially with the GoPro Hero 12.

Thank you for this suggestion. Our team uses Veo but I wanted to supplement and had never heard of this system. Will check it out. Again, thanks.

I have seen things where people put their iphone on a tripod that actually turns to follow the ball. Not sure how well it worked, but it looked cool

If you are a total novice, Record your game on 1080p 30 fps right in your standard phone app. Loosen one of the tripod brackets and follow the action with one hand while sitting down. Won’t be perfect but it will work.

Agree on all, but one quibble, 1080p at 60fps. 30fps can’t get slowed down detail.

We are interested in filming our kid's soccer games in addition to the Veo recordings. I have seen other teams' parents use an iPad on a tripod but have always been too shy to ask them in the moment what they are using (and then regret not asking later). I have gone to Best Buy to ask them, but while the sales associates are nice they don't really know and they don't have anything in stock anyway.

Does anyone on DCUM have suggestions on what tripod to use, or a program/app to download? I saw an opposing team parent this past weekend with this cool pro setup of an iPad on a tripod with a sunscreen contraption that was hooked up to an iPhone.

I really don't want a debate of whether or not we should be recording our games and isn't Veo enough. I would love to hear suggestions from people on equipment or a store in the DMV I can go to that would help me with this project. Thanks in advance.
