+1. As far as the compatibility of parenthood and work is concerned, the USA is still living in the Middle Ages. Part-time work should now also be the norm for demanding jobs, as it is in Europe.

I really don’t know why it is so long, something about the contract. It is salaried but I wish I had the wherewithal to ask for a contract position to work on specific projects rather than for salary. I just don’t know how to approach that. (Money is not an issue as I am looking for a challenging job, not tedious, yet with more flexibility. )
