Oil-based sharpies work the best.

I use a Sharpie, too, and reapply as needed.

I just use a black thick sharpie, no issues.

child's team required purchase of flippers, which of course means every 10 and under on deck will have the same black fins. Will something like a silver sharpie suffice for labeling the name? Or do I need something stronger?
