To lower cholesterol, he needs to EXERCISE. Nothing else will do it, as it it probably genetic.

The worst foods to eat if you have high cholesterol are high carb foods such as breads, pastas, fruit drinks, sugary stuff, etc.
That's really all you need to know. It's simple. Also, cholesterol meds are DANGEROUS.
This except I don’t know if cholesterol meds are dangerous.
Dietary cholesterol plays a smaller role in your cholesterol levels. Exercise and staying away from refined carbs are good things to try.
I don’t think oatmeal does crap for cholesterol but if he likes it, it’s fine. Try the steel cut slow cook kind.
