I have a Dagne Doover. I wanted something with simple, clean lines. The large size has a separate laptop sleeve.

I had the larger Herschel during grad school and LOVED it, and used it during my first couple of jobs.

I disagree. But if you don't like it- don't use one.

Timbuk2
I have one that can be a backpack or a tote, and it has a laptop sleeve. Love it.

I have a bagallini one that is okay. If you are carrying a lot for a long distance, I think I would pick something more hiker-y and just hang it in your office out of sight. Carry your stuff to meetings another way.

My law firm gave me a North Face backpack. Works great.

I love Fjallraven. The only issue I have with their bags is that the water resistance is short term. My kid’s backpack was amazing at the start of last year. By late Spring, water just poured right through. And I’m talking just a very light rain, not a downpour. My jacket hasn’t had any issues, but I’d pause before getting another bag. The company says this is normal, btw—whatever they use instead of mainstream water resistant additive is short lived and can’t be reapplied.

Looking for a new work backpack. Any recs? I dress casually for work - no jeans, but not quite business casual. And I take the metro. So nothing fancy.
