I've played here a ton this year after returning to the game this spring. I have my complaints about the course but it's cheap and most importantly it's 5 minutes from my house. Great place to get some "live" swings in, especially considering there's not really any public driving ranges convenient to NW. Anyway, I am wondering if anyone else has noticed the absolutely overwhelming gnat/midge infestation there. It used to be that just the first green was buggy and after that it was fine. Lately I've noticed them everywhere on the front nine. Flying into my eyes, ears, nose, mouth, etc. It's brutal. Sometimes I rush shots or even skip putts so I can move to somewhere else where the gnats might not be as bad. I thought it might just be bad after rain but I was there yesterday, I was swarmed pretty much constantly, and it hasn't rained here in several days.
I'm sure it's related to the out-of-control overgrowth all around the course and I imagine it will improve greatly when the renovation is complete but just wondering if it's just me or if other people have noticed this too. Bonus points if anyone knows a way to keep them away. The hippy, organic bug spray I have doesn't seem to bother them at all
