W&M is not bro-y! More nerdy, and probably a higher contingency of studious, introverted kids compared to many other college campuses.

I wouldn't think it would necessarily be the classrooms that would be the problem, but the dorms and maybe the dining halls.

I have social anxiety and went to a large state school. Absolutely loved being pretty much anonymous in big lecture halls and made a lot of friends. Don’t limit their choices just because of anxiety.

This is such an ignorant comment. A “very high stats” kid isn’t going to community college. How does the social anxiety manifest? That might help those of us who understand social anxiety make reasonable suggestions.

Community College or near by College so your high stats child can commute back home and hide.

Not everyone’s social anxiety manifests the same and will automatically have difficulties moving with a roommate. Plus, it’s possible the student could get a single dorm as an accommodation.

Would your daughter be interested in an all girls college? What about Sweet Briar?

University of Mary Washington sounds like it could be a good fit. I’d also look at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. She could qualify for some scholarships if high stats. Also check out liberal arts colleges in PA like Dickinson or Muhlenberger.

Is she a strong enough student for William & Mary? Any idea what she wants to study?

I have a high stats kid with extreme social anxiety. I should have listened when it was suggested that they attend community college before dorming. It was a tough year.
