You need to wash them a few times to get them softer. Then they're comfortable.

Based on observation, most people are buying jeans a size or two too small. Buy a jean that is fitted to your widest part (hips, waist, etc) and have it taken in elsewhere if necessary.

Ditto, my go to overnight flight outfit to Europe, with layers on top and a cashmere wrap. Oh, and black to hide spills.

The jeans that have some stretch are ok for me. But there's no way I could ever wear denim that didn't have a bit of stretch to it. I can't go back to that.

I find them comfortable. I've flown cross country overnight in jeans, no problem.

If you get jeans that are labeled "stretch jeans" then you may find them more comfortable and flexible than traditional stiff Levi's. Stretch jeans are still true denim jeans (as opposed to jeggings) but there's a touch of spandex woven in that make them more flexible. That said, jeans are much more comfortable when you size up so they aren't fitting like skinny jeans.

I wear jeans every day and I think they are comfortable if you buy the correct size. Not just the waist and hips not being too tight, but also the correct rise for your body. I am short waisted and high rise jeans (anything over 10”) is very uncomfortable for me. If you have a rounded belly or an apron belly, I imagine any structured pant is uncomfortable when seated.
I don’t buy fancy jeans. Most of my jeans are from Gap, J Crew, or Madewell.

You might not be buying the right size.

I have some that aren't uncomfortable but I also don't find them comfortable.

They're not! I never really noticed it until I basically stopped wearing them during Covid. They can be fine if well made and not too tight. But dresses, leggings, anything with an elastic waist band, even cotton pants etc are more comfortable.

I don’t find jeans comfortable at all. But I do have sensory processing issues.

I have always found dresses and skirts more comfortable than pants, especially jeans.

I find jeans comfortable. Maybe you are on the spectrum of sensory disorders?

I also feel jeans are uncomfortable but jeggings are better IMO. I like Gap jeggings, they're the most comfortable, but other style pants are better. I got corduroy leggings from Athleta that look sleek and polished but feel comfy like athleisure, really the best.

I cannot as long as I remember from teenagehood to adulthood have ever had a pair of comfortable jeans.

Either the button hits me in my belly button or the sides hurt and rub my sides uncomfortably when I move. Sitting down some jeans just feel so stiff.

Is it the jeans I purchase or are jeans just not comfortable?
