But in all seriousness, pretty sure jobs in oil and gas are quite lucrative relative to the region’s other opportunities.

You would think something as basic as median salaries would be consistent across rankings.

Payscale rankings has Babson at #5 and median first year bachelor's degree salary is $90,600

How can this study show Babson at $61,200 for median first year salary?

I have a kid whose dream school is Penn. Villanova will be on his application list and I know it is a great school. My kid absolutely would be disappointed going to Villanova over Penn. since Penn is a reach dream school, I hope I can get him excited for schools like Villanova, W&M and Babson. These are all good schools.

The Most Popular Degree Pays Off: Ranking the Economic Value of 5,500 Business Programs at More Than 1,700 Colleges finds that the economic value of business programs is high compared to the financial returns from other programs, though not as high as returns associated with health, engineering, and computer and information sciences programs. Two years after graduation, associate’s degree holders in business have median annual earnings of $30,000 after debt payments. The financial returns from a business degree rise to $43,200 after debt payments for bachelor’s degree holders and $51,600 for master’s degree holders.

Looks like Georgetown ranks undergrad business degrees and MBA's. This list looks like the undergraduate business ranking.

Not all colleges have a business degree offered as undergraduates so they wouldn't be listed.

From the looks of it, at least Georgetown uses defensible data, unlike the WSJ.

+1 Northwestern does NOT have an undergrad business program. They do have an Econ major.

Well, if the bulk of the graduates go work in Oil & gas and make $100k+...yes, the school will rank very highly.

This list is purely based on their income metrics.

Many do offer business specialties, which is perhaps why they make the list. As an example, you can major in finance at Brown (or at least specialize in it...not sure how they characterize things).
