Inside, anything goes as long as the butt and privates are covered. Outside, cover up because cameras are everywhere.

I think walking around in underwear and shirtless is for toddlers at most and then it’s time to become a member of polite society and wear a full set of clothes - or at least pjs - around the house and to the table.

For me as an adult this was a deal breaker and I dumped more than one manchild who expected to walk around the house in his undershorts.

Uhhhh, that is a totally different scenario, and horrifying, and I’m sorry you had to grow up with that.

Our sons are often shirtless at home and our daughter lounges in a sports bra. Everyone has pants or shorts though! When our older son started this trend as a young teen (which coincided with the phase of flexing and looking at his muscles in all reflective surfaces he passed), my mom commented that she always was reminded of the “I’m too sexy for my shirt.” song when she hung out with us. DH and I now hum that song if anyone flexes in front of us. We find it more amusing than the kids do.

I don't have rules inside but I tell them to put on a shirt outside because one side of the family has a history of skin cancer. Inside half the time they are shirtless.

My son is almost always shirtless inside but not outside. My husband almost always wears a shirt. I have no rules about it.

Our neighborhood has tons of kids of all ages and I’ve never seen one without a shirt on unless they were coming back from the beach.

My husband and young son are often shirtless at home and I don't think twice. My 8yo DD is, too.

Yes, lately my teen walks around in shorts with no shirt, but only inside the house. He claims it’s too hot inside.

Why does it matter unless you are eating a meal together

Anytime I see shirtless men outside I think of the show “Cops”. How is it that all these men are either topless or have a tank top on.
