Either it needs to be cold for two weeks prior so they can make snow…or they need to get actual snow. The mid Atlantic and PA are just too far south.
Strangely enough, the ski resorts near Asheville, NC get more reliable conditions due to elevation.
You have to go up to Quebec these days for reliable cold temps. Even VT isn’t reliable.
The bolded is true. The underlined is...true, but Vermont gets more natural snow. There's a reason Canadians go to Jay Peak.
VT is having an incredible winter. Winters like this will probably become 5-10 year events, but hopefully they don't disappear completely for a long time.
