This board has a lot of hate for dance teams and dance competitions but it was great for my DD, who is now on her high school dance team.
Is it competitive to get on the team?
My child likes to dance but not sure if she is necessarily talented. She has been doing dance since she was in preschool at age 3.
Depends on the studio. At ours, there was a team for every level. Generally by age but the best dancers were moved up with older girls and some girls stayed on a “lower” team longer. Some studios do auditions but I think most will find a spot somewhere for anyone willing to pay. I’m PP, so not hating on this. Just the reality
