Depends on the studio. At ours, there was a team for every level. Generally by age but the best dancers were moved up with older girls and some girls stayed on a “lower” team longer. Some studios do auditions but I think most will find a spot somewhere for anyone willing to pay. I’m PP, so not hating on this. Just the reality


I’m not very committed to this. Maybe I should have DD take more classes. We usually do 2 dance classes per week so ballet and hip hop or combo plus cheer. Currently she is in ballet and hip hop.

My DD loves to dance. She plays music and sings and dance all day everyday. She has done several years of ballet, cheer and hip hop.

What would be the time commitment?

My DD will be 8 and we live in NOVA.
