I don't love these names, but Scarlett is now popular enough that no one will think you named her after Scarlett O'Hara.

My 8 yr old niece has a friend named that. Sometimes she calls her Scarlie.

I know one and it’s been fine, I like it.

I hate this name, both for the racist undertones but it’s also just kind of trashy.

She grew up embedded in a deeply racist culture, benefiting greatly from the institution of slavery, with little introspection about its impact on the slaves. Why do you say she wasn’t racist?

That said, your dd can be named Scarlett without being racist. Use the name if you love it.
