Prep from the past will carry over. My kid prepped over the summer, scored well on the August test, then was required to take a school day test in the spring, and went up another 30 points with no additional prep.

Refresh the week before, or even the night before, with a little bit of practice.

My DC did this in the same time frame, after APs junior year. He did 8 private tutoring sessions, in addition to practice tests, mostly focused on math. His math improved by 60 pts, English was already strong. MLS tutors.

Did your DC already take it once before and if so, how did they prep for it the first time and what was the score?

DC planning to take SAT in June (not first time) after APs in May. 11th grader. Will only have a few weeks to prepare. Is this advisable?

Is a private tutor the way to go for this? Any recommendations in the Tysons/Mclean area? TIA
