I just bought Le Sud (Southern French) by Rebekah Peppler and I love it. It’s both a cookbook and a travel book with lots of photos so it’s a nice bedtime/casual read, plus the recipes are great. Highly recommend!

Paul Hollywood's bread book if she's a GBBS fan.

Classics: Joy of Cooking, or Julia Child's The Way to Cook or Mastering the Art of French Cooking

If she loves Ina, giving Julia Child books would be very thoughtful. Also, not a cookbook but Ina's memoir is coming out next month - could be another gift idea.

None of these are particuarly exciting.

How about Around My French Kitchen by Dorie Greenspan (almost any of her cookbooks are gift worthy), Subday Suppers, The Tucci Table, Cook Beautiful, The French Laundry Cookbook, Ad Hoc, Lunch in Provence, NOMA Time and Place in Nordic Cusine, and the Art of Pasta are just a few of my favourites that I have both recieved and given.

Looking for suggestions of a cookbook (new or old) to gift an experienced cook who loves cookbooks. I have access to their current cookbook collection so it would be easy to make sure I don’t duplicate something they already have.

They love Ina Garten (and have all of her cookbooks), and they have an extensive collection of Junior League cookbooks.

Any “must have” cookbooks come to mind?
