I can have a variety of different salads on hand. It's what is necessary to get some to eat a salad.

It's easier for me to pick up a composed bag for work lunch than it is to do it myself and keep some ingredients separate from others. Or if you are serving a salad with dinner and look to limit prep time they can be helpful. Yes most of the time I make my own salad with my own components when I have the time.
