Also many viruses are contagious before symptoms appear and the hypothetical COVID positive kid without symptoms is likely not even testing. We aren’t going back to masking kids just in case they become sick or doing surveillance testing. If you’re worried, you are free to use a quality N95.

He has no symptoms, we only tested because a grandparent he'd visited recently was hospitalized with Covid. I've tested daily and am still negative, so I'm not too worried about him spreading Covid in school.
