Blame Larry Hogan for the delays.

MoCo could have killed Hogan’s plan by not paying its share. There’s a lot of blame to go around.

Do what now?

Yes, there's a lot of blame to go around. In chronological order:

the Columbia Country Club
the Town of Chevy Chase
Bob Ehrlich
proponents of the ICC
people with their sheds on, and/or their houses near, the Georgetown Branch right-of-way
Larry Hogan
a federal judge
Larry Hogan some more

So this will eventually be done around the same time that Vladimir and Estragon met up with Godot.

Yes, I will blame Larry Hogan for the delays and cost increases that were caused by Larry Hogan. If not for Larry Hogan, the Purple Line would already be up and running, or close to it.

Don’t forget the Town of Chevy Chase and Columbia Country Club— probably cost us $1 billion and 3 years

Yes, I'm happy to blame them for the delays too, but they're not on the ballot in November. Larry Hogan is.

Early 2027 was the latest. I just hope they don’t have to close the red line for it again.

Yeah, I'd say either never or maybe 2027 at the rate they are going. I miss the old Crescent trail

I heard 2026, but I may be wrong... and it may be delayed again.

I've given up. 2030? 245? Never?

There have been road closures/blockades due to Purple construction where I live in Maryland since I moved in back in 2016 when I was told it should be completed in the next 3-4 years. It's now 2024 and then same road closures/blockades still exist with a sign that the "temporary" closure will exist til 2027. I don't even see people working on the closed construction sites. Can someone point to a clear indication of when the Purple Line will be done?
