We feel good about elementary, comfortable with middle, but will not (as it is today) send our kid to the high school.

It would mainly depend on where the private school is for me. Getting across the top of town on military road can be misery. But getting a lot of places from here is easy. So that and commutes would be the main things.

Where are you coming from? Do you have kids?

Do a search and you’ll find a lot of perspectives.

In short, tons of families moving in. Very community oriented, but definitely not a cookie cutter suburb which some people secretly want. It’s not for everyone but my family loves it here.

I've heard good things about Mount Rainier, MD. It's close to DC and seems like a lot of families live here based on a few drives through the streets on the weekend during nice weather climate days. Anybody recently moved here? What's the good and bad? No sales pitches please.
