Also, tourist walk. When I was in Rome I walked 25K steps in one day.

It's funny that this has become such a belief -- someone posted on X the other day that Europeans also have a whole social media thing about how they lose weight when they visit the US. The secret ingredient is vacation. You're on vacation.

It's the portion sizes and extra walking, not that it's made in Italy. Which also doesn't matter since the stuff available for export to US is different than what they sell in Italy. Same for German stuff--it's different when it's made for export.

I buy pasta made in Italy at raader joes, world market or Costco but I don’t think it makes a difference. I’m still gaining weight!

I make my own fresh pasta.

I think it’s more about the portion sizes
