Very little meat, mostly seafood when there is meat. LOTS of beans, and other veggies, whole grains, nuts, seeds, fruits mostly whole but some dried in moderation.
Very little dairy, very little oils except evoo.
Yes you can lose weight - I’ve been eating largely Mediterranean with a strong focus on highest fiber foods usually as much as 2x the RDA of fiber. Fiber is naturally satiating because it has slower transit time and triggers the fullness hormones in the gut. After a few weeks of eating high fiber and avoiding sugar and UPFs, my ‘food noise’ disappeared and cravings as well. It’s like nature’s semaglutide and much, much cheaper.
