It sounds like you maybe aren’t actually anxious, you just have an incredibly anxious DH who’s outsourcing his anxiety to you.

What happens if you answer “I don’t know” to all of these?

All of this. I’m definitely more anxious in my early 40s than before, but I feel like everyone’s cruise director at all times. It is exhausting. DH and I are working on it, but it is definitely hard when you feel like everything falls upon you.

I came here to answer "hormones" but this doesn't sound like anxiety, it sounds like too many demands on you from people who should handle their own stuff. DH should ask those questions of the kids.

Ugh tell them to leave you alone and set up systems where you’re not the main POC/logistical keu.

Your husband sounds annoying and micromanaging.

I’m 47 and feel the same way lately. No real stressors—everything’s fine—but I feel like I’m on edge. Spending too much time on this site makes it a lot worse. Vigorous exercise is the only things that helps.

Lately anything triggers it. For instance dh loves to ask me a lot of daily questions about our teens: did Larlo finish his homework? Did you tell him a curfew? Did Larla have practice today? Does Larla have any tests? The kids ask me "where is" and "have you seen my ____(insert random item)" several times a day. Just simple, dumb non-offensive questions. Then there is bigger stress like work, college admissions, general normal elements of life to handle. I have less stress than most, but I am more stressed out. How do I manage it better?
