This is MCPS. The precious children don't need to use their feet.
There is a two mile ruke, not all places have sidewalks or safe walks. Stop being obnoxious.
It is not unsafe for them to walk to school around Wootton. Please.

Anonymous wrote:The problem with Wootton is that there is only one road for approach, and you can't even turn away if you drop your kid off on the parkway away from the school.
Drop your kid off before an intersection where you can turn away from the parkway.

They have no security directing traffic and there is only one way in and all the walkers cross the same turn the drivers need to turn in from both sides. Since it’s so backed up and pedestrians obviously have the right of way, there are just kids jumping out of cars and crossing the parkway all over the place.
This can’t be a normal daily occurrence. Tell me it gets better! We have no bus option.
Car drop-off and pick-up is madness at every high school, all year long. The problem is that there are too many parents driving their kids.
If you don't want to deal with the madness, have your kid walk part of the way. Or even all of the way.
