Traffic has always been bad the week that the big counties all go back to school. FCPS/MCPS/DCPS/APS are all back in school this week.

The pandemic killed a lot of carpooling that was very robust before. So now all those people drive. There might be fewer people going into the city, but if they are all in cars, traffic will always be terrible.

Two body problem. We live close to my spouses job; they take the metro.

Doesn't explain a thing. If the metro is nearby why can't you ALSO take it? Otherwise, assume everyone is in the same position as you and quit your whining.

People will eventually go back to Metro as traffic increases. It was too easy to drive when the traffic was down.

Things are slowly getting back to where they were pre-pandemic. It's DC. Traffic has always been terrible around here. We are usually in the top 5 for worst in the nation. People have just forgotten since COVID.

Beltway construction isn’t helping.

I was out at 730 and had huge traffic getting into DC from VA and then headed to Moco and traffic here is crazy heavy. Is this school starting combing with RTO, and no one metros anymore? Is this the new normal??

We are still down 25% on ridership, and I wonder how rush hour ridership has changed
