We're getting quotes to replace our 21 yo HVAC and really want to go heat pump however, in past 7 years, it's always been cheaper to heat the house with gas than cool with electric, but the price for dual fuel heat-pump is about the same as HVAC. But I wonder how much more expensive it will be to run compared to gas on days between 30-55 degrees...

Everything is electric except the oven/stove. Tankless water heater has a gas hookup but... I don't really know about it. Gas bill is about $18-$25/month consistently.
House: small center townhouse, lights are all LED. AC set to 77/73 day/night, and heat is set to 64.
Wow, is your unit radiating heat to your colder A/C neighbors?
