It’s possible but keep in mind Covid can be really hard on the body even when you feel recovered from the obvious symptoms. The weight loss may represent your body being in overdrive to fight the virus and when your immune system has fully calmed down your metabolism could return to normal and without other changes, the weight would come back. So maybe use it as a jumping off point to try adding in things that would contribute to it staying off.

Also, whether 8lbs is significant for you depends on your total weight. For me at 115lbs, 8lbs would be significant.

That’s what I’m asking. I’m definitely motivated to maintain, as I was going since end of May. The weight wasn’t coming off before July, where I finally lost 5lb. This is another 8 for a total of 13 since May. I’m 5’9 and now 165.

Returned from a very active vacation and brought Covid home as a souvenir. Noticed upon return from vacation that I was down 3lb. After Covid, in which I stayed well hydrated and ate my usual diet, I was down another 5lb.

It’s now been two weeks since the events above, and I’m still down the total of 8lb, and look and feel noticeably different than I did before I left before the vacation four weeks ago. I’m also on my period, so my typical heaviest time of the month. Is it safe to stay this is permanent loss? I don’t know why it matters to me, other than I’ve really been working my butt off all summer and this would be nice!
