Parent of a former DRES, now AAP center student here. In my child's grade, more Level IV designated kids stayed at DRES than left for Mosaic. The school generally has a friendly, chill vibe. Lots of overlap for the kids between local pools, FPYC sports, City playgrounds which makes for an old-fashioned community feel. ESOL/FARMS #s are significant, but the behavior cases we encountered were never from that population. We left for stronger academics and less reliance on screens, but TBD whether we'll find that at the center school.

I suspect that the poster meant was that the kids accepted into AAP move to the Center and do not stay at DRES for the LLIV program.

I know 2 families at daniels run and both are happy.

I taught in a decent pyramid.....same county chaos. I'd go private

Sadly I think if you have the money-private is a good option. Even the AAP centers/school are not great these days.

OP here. Can either of you please elaborate? I did hear negative things from one family, but it might have just been that one class. Which private school nearby would you recommend? I'm looking at Trinity Christian and Merritt Academy. Thank you!
