- Emails #1. Went to a few camps (#2) and is committed to uni she went to camp for. They were very happy to have her and you knew they were interested even at a younger age before they could talk.
E-mail coaches going to showcases no earlier than a couple weeks out. Anything earlier and you'll be going to the bottom of the inbox and forgotten. Make sure you e-mail coaches even though they aren't on the showcase website. Large schools ALWAYS show up and you'll see them on the sideline and be thankful you e-mailed them.
Follow-up e-mails with your highlights. Keep your highlight video fresh and have 'chapters' in your highlights. Clearly delineate what you're showcasing and for the love of God, drop the house music.
After this, which isn't hard, it's up to what the coaches need. Now with a 28 max cap, that's just 7 girls per year. As an example, most D1s (including DDs) have 10-11 girls incoming. They want girls who are interested and they'll come see you if you are... they won't waste time on a rando player.
Do they recruit goalkeepers each year and, if so, how many?

Anonymous wrote:When should this get started? I have a HS sophmore that wants to play in college. D3 might be realistic. When do we start communicating with coaches? Don't want to annoy them by starting too early.

Which one do you prefer? Are there other better ones not listed here?
Do you just register with one or is there a benefit to be present on several?
NONE of the above. All money grabs. They do not help in the recruiting process and coaches do NOT use them to recruit!
Go buy this book https://rlopezcoaching.com/product/looking-for-a-full-ride-an-insiders-recruiting-guide/ its a step-by-step guide to the college recruiting process.
Another great resource is https://www.sportsrecruitingusa.com/ but they are pricy. Follow Coach Don Williams (https://twitter.com/Don_K_Williams) and College Soccer Truth (https://twitter.com/ImCollegeSoccer) on X they give great advice.
Start by getting a highlight film together and start to send college coaching staff emails yourself to establish relationships.
We put film on YouTube and shared the links across social media for easy access. Once a coach expresses interest we send short highlight clips regularly to keep on the radar.
I agree. None. College coaches want to hear from your kid.
These are not recruiting services. They are platforms where your kid puts their stuff. OP -- most top clubs have their kids on some platform. Many use Sports recruits. But it is done through the club.
