There's no really good metric. Some power teams have just two keepers, then there's a school like Duke that has FOUR keepers every year. VT has four this year, which is abnormal, but three are graduating or finished after this season. Our best guess is that some schools will want 2-3, so there could be years when they have fresh/sophs they skip keepers for 7 field players, as an example. Doesn't have to be a hard seven of course, just mathematically it makes sense to be even as best you can.

Not a mass website, but when you go to the showcase website (ECNL in this example), they'll have the coaches who are attending. Find that school via Google and e-mail the coaches. I would always put the head coach on there and the positional coach, if able. Most uni websites under the coaching bio will have their positional breakout... keeper coaches, defensive, etc. You could just blast all 3 or 4, but be sure to hit those who are attending the showcase and the HC. Your DD/DS shouldn't be e-mailing 100 unis, so it's fairly easy. Copy paste the e-mail and end it with the school motto or something to keep it 'personal'. Like adding FIGHT ON if you e-mail USC or ROLL TIDE if it's bama. Nice and easy

Start now and let them know what ShowCase events you will play in this spring time. If his club, outside of HS does not play in any College ShowCase events, then you can send in game film in the spring time, that way official correspondence with the coach can start the summer before his junior year.

It depends 🙂. I would say check with your travel coach or your Age Group Coordinator to see if the club already has one that is included with your club fees. All of them are pretty easy to use and have a huge database of D1-D3 schools.
As always money grabbers are taking an extreme point of view which seems to be based in some really bad personal experience. Having poured over hundreds of college communications through a couple of the platforms I can tell you colleges do look at the profiles, they do communicate with coaches and players, and players are given offer letters based off of initial conversations from the platform.
Where the money grabbers are right though is that it boils down to personal accountability. The technology is nice but the player and parents are driving the ship.

These are not recruiting services. They are platforms where your kid puts their stuff. OP -- most top clubs have their kids on some platform. Many use Sports recruits. But it is done through the club.

NCSA is a joke and college coaches admit they do not use any of these 3rd party platforms to recruit players...
As stated have your child speak directly to the coaches and coaching staff.
