The advantage is that the old C will be overwritten and no longer be part of the GPA.


Talk to the counselor about how the transcript looks. Also, you need 2 years of WL during HS, so hopefully this will be it.

The advantage is that the old C will be overwritten and no longer be part of the GPA.

what grade is your kid in?
If 6-8 I would suggest maybe a summer retake
or just drop the course

if 9-12 I would say yes, definitely do a summer retake but then also possibly drop it

Would you have a student retake Honors Spanish 3 if they got a C

They have no desire to keep taking language courses as it is a struggle, but I am pretty sure they could get an A if they retook it. Already have taken all other electives and has a pretty tough schedule this year. So the thought was to retake it to increase GPA but nervous it will look bad on transcript.
