Pointer Ridge ES will now operate with an autism program. Meaning, the program will be housed in the school. The school will still operate as a neighborhood/zoned school (so the regular students) but will also have a seperate autism program. It is a good idea but I wonder how sustainable it will be in the long run. Will this assist in bringing up the student population to make the school worth operating? That is the reason that they were to close after all. Time will tell.
