How old are they? Mine got much better at doing it on their own around 7 or 8.

Thanks! These are great tangible steps we can take. We have also been involved supporting refugee families in our neighborhood and school community but I’ll make more of a point to have my kids I involved.

I used to make my kids name one thing that their siblings did for them or for family each day, like

X helped bring in groceries
Y helped me put on my skates
X said I did good job with legos

And I wrote them on a white board in living room daily.
It made them go thru day looking for ways to help and be helped, and made them more grateful.
I also got my kids involved quite young in helping refugee families, it made them grateful for their own lives to see what others have been through.
