I was about to post about this book, too. I really enjoyed it and have recommended it to friends who felt the same. Great balance of light and substantive.

A little off the mark from your request (sailing not cruising) but try “Float Plan” by Trish Doller. It’s a rom-com about a woman who decides to sail across the Carribbean which was the dream of her former fiance who died by suicide. It’s got some grieving parts that are handled well and it’s super enjoyable with a great ending.

Okay, so the part about being light and fun is what people may have missed. This one is a novella that's a mystery, but there's a lot of humor in it!

The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware is not a fun book. It is a whodunit. But it is set on a cruise ship.
