My DS liked the running shorts from Amazon that had liners with phone pockets. Though he never actually carried his phone when he ran XC. They were much less expensive than anything from Dick’s or Nike, and he wears them all the time.

NP any specific links? They seem to have only men’s shorts at Dick’s. My kid is 12 and fits a youth L.
