I've seen as many bad experienced teachers as bad new teachers. Positive and energetic is pretty good even if they don't have as much experience.

My choice would be a young and energetic early elementary teacher every time. Give the teacher a change to see how she challenges your child.

This post was written before the school year even started! You are negatively judging your child's teacher based on her age alone? Or was it because she seemed positive and energetic? Have you sat down with the teacher and had a conversation about your concerns over her ability to challenge your child? Yes, teacher's HOPE scores factor in, as well as work samples, but as you are aggressively pursuing AAP admission, I'm sure you'll find a way!

Yeah you’re not always going to have a great teacher, life doesn’t work that way. Focus on what you can control.
