I know someone who had a whole other family. It was like something out of a bad movie. If I were her I would hire a private investigator if she can pay them without him figuring out. Absent that I’d try to figure out what was going on so as to get a jump start on dealing with him sheltering money, etc.

I had a friend whose father was like this. He was an older dad. Turns out, he had a previous wife and family, and would go to see them. The current wife knew. They just didn't want their children to know.

I have a friend whose husband travels a lot. I don’t want to say his job but his main job does not require travel. My friend often complains he is not home or leaves abruptly for days. He does not help with the house or kids at all.
