They might, until someone explains it's the same thing their kids got at daycare.

Don't ruin the jilling of the MVA mothers imagining another 18 month school closure.

We don't care if your kids are in person and are sick. That's on you. But, we shouldn't be forced to send our kids with people like you out there who are so eager to get rid of their kids they are selfish and send them in sick not caring their kids are miserable or who they make sick. Then, they will come on here complaining the teachers are out sick.

It's parvovirus. It has always been very common. You may have heard it as Fifth Disease before. You're being ridiculous.

I think it's great that posters can distribute news of global health import on DCUM.

Please no hysterics or dismissiveness. Neither is intelligent. We just want to discuss facts, thank you.

It is usually really mild. Covid and mpox are much bigger worries.

You're worried about parvovirus? You must not have had kids in daycare.

worried about Health alert issued by CDC, Aug 13, 2024?

emergency.cdc.gov/han/2024/han00514.asp

Summary
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is issuing this Health Alert Network (HAN) Health Advisory to notify healthcare providers, public health authorities, and the public about current increases in human parvovirus B19 activity in the United States. Parvovirus B19 is a seasonal respiratory virus that is transmitted through respiratory droplets by people with symptomatic or asymptomatic infection. In the first quarter of 2024, public health authorities in 14 European countries observed unusually high numbers of cases of parvovirus B19. In the United States, there is no routine surveillance for parvovirus B19, and it is not a notifiable condition. Recently, CDC has received reports indicating increased parvovirus B19 activity in the United States.
