Nobody under 40 knows who Cruz is. Everyone under 40 knows who George Washington is. Why are we putting back corner entertainers on currency now? It should be reserved for people who actually change the country and are of great historical importance.

Name a single way Celia Cruz has ever improved the life of an average American.

Very little historical significance. Hell they could have gone with RGB first. Entertainers don't belong on the currency at all.

She's just a boomer product virtually no one younger than 40 has ever heard of, which shows how inconsequential her historical significance is.

Shouldn’t people on currency have historical significance in some way? I have no idea who Ms. Cruz is and I’ve been on this Earth for more than 40+ years. Hell, if we are going to put inconsequential celebrities on currency now, why didn’t they go with Aretha Franklin before Ms. Cruz? Far more Americans know who Franklin is.
