Just to put it all together for you OP:

These are your core courses (gotta take)
Honors English 10
Honors Precalculus
Honors Chemistry
AP Government

These are where there’s choices:
*Tech credit - AP Computer Science, Foundations of Technology, or whatever introductory engineering course your school has.
*Health credit - Honors Health A/B
Language - either continue Spanish until AP Spanish Language and earn the bilingual diploma, or switch to ASL.

Both the tech credit and health can be taken during summer school to free up space for more interesting electives. If you plan to do that, these are some of the common electives 10th graders at my HS take:
AP Psychology
AP Statistics
Anatomy and Physiology
Fine arts - band, orchestra, choir, pottery, etc.
Double up language.

Don’t get too hung up on school specific special cases people may share. The above is the standard for Honors level 10th graders.

All the key graduation requirements are done except the ones you have to take at that grade level - math, English, etc.

The other schedule is 4 AP's and 3 honors and no electives.

Yours is 2 AP's, 2 honors, 2 regulars, and 1 elective

Do you not see the difference?

Yes, it is allowed if the kid excels in them, like some kids take 2 sciences in the same year. She had to get special permission to start the 2nd language, from the principal (of Pyle) and it was granted.

Have her do one more year of spanish for colleges. We are forcing our kid to do one more year.

Then what ever other graduation requirements - does she have her tech, health ed (she can do that summers online), etc.

She has to take one year of PE and another of health (a lot of people take that over the summer). Also has to take a tech and a fine arts credit. Don’t forget those.

The language can depend on how rigorous they want to be for college. Colleges like world languages.

Last year my dd was a sophomore and took:
Honors chem, honors precalc, honors English, AP gov, comp sci, art, Spanish 3. She could have taken AP comp sci but is not a computer kid, but it satisfied her tech credit.
