They’re amazing! Sweet but also a nice savory flavor. I’m a white lady and buy cans of the paste to mix in with coconut ice cream.

Oooohh now I want some red bean mochi.

The same reason some Americans like bean pies. They’re delicious and healthier than many of the alternatives.

Same reason why Americans use pumpkins in dessert. In most parts of the world, pumpkins are not used for dessert.

It’s delicious that’s why.

I can't explain it, but this old white lady was pleasantly surprised by how tasty they are.

They taste good. It’s just a sugary paste. It’d be like sweetened yams or sweet potatoes…why do Americans use sweet potatoes in desserts?

You won’t know at all that you’re eating beans. You just taste sweet, paste.

Not too sweet and red beans have health benefits too. It’s also just delicious!

Have never tried but wondering why red beans, specifically, are used in Asian desserts?
