If memory care required then Renaissance of Annandale.

If not, then Brightview Woodburn.
Close second would be Sunrise of Fairfax about two miles off of 495 on Arlington Blvd.

This sounds like someone who might need skilled nursing, but you should visit places and ask.

The care in assisted living is typically more like a check-in/meds early in the day, check-in at meals, check-in for meds at bedtime. At least this was true at my MIL's place. For most of the day there was nobody looking in on her, though she had a button she could press in an emergency.

I assume you are planning to have an aide too? We found AL places wanted you to pay for that too if the elder's needs exceeded what they provide. Maybe things have changed. Usually an aide fills the gap when the needs are beyond AL, but either not at nursing home level or the family does not want a nursing home.

I am looking for a nice, caring, assisted living place around Annandale/Springfield/Braddock Road in the vicinity of 495 Virginia for an elderly individual. I don't believe she requires skilled nursing, but she does require a special diet and 24/7 care and help with most tasks of daily living. Do you have recommendations for a place that offers gentle, compassionate, detailed care? I'm not looking for fancy, but pleasant and peaceful for a quiet individual.
