What do you mean left their kids? They’re already divorced and have no custody arrangement with a literal newborn? Or they’re literally just going outside and hanging out with their friends a month postpartum?

The woman realizing that he is a man-baby and now that she has an actual baby she is no longer willing to put up with him and carry the load of being his mommy. Total loss of respect.

Anyway, I would de-friend them right away.

3 of the 4 factors mentioned above were at play in my marriage/separation from ex-DH when kid was a baby. I was not guilty of any of them.

+1 Having had babies, this is not really perplexing. Lots of people aren’t mature enough to handle the responsibilities. Particularly men.

Maybe the relationship was already in trouble, and the baby was a Hail Mary, or worse, a trap by the woman to try to keep him from leaving. It seems very sudden and unusual to leave a wanted baby after one month.

Physical violence, alcoholism, drug abuse, long-standing or repeat infidelity. Those are the reasons.

Men do this for higher paying jobs all the time.

Interesting makes sense. My husband says it means the man is abandoning his responsibility and is weak in character.

Women are less likely to do this because of how hard it is right after a baby.

It turns out that a baby causes stress.
